Thomas Lord, Jr., was baptized 15 Nov 1616 at Towcester, Northamptonshire, the son of Thomas Lord of Towcester, Northamptonshire, England, and his wife Dorothy Bird, who were married at Towcester 23 Feb 1610/11.[1]
Thomas Lord, Jr. was married at Boston, Massachusetts, to Hannah Thurston on 23 Sept 1652.[1]
Death Thomas Lord, died probably in Wethersfield, between the date his will was written 2 Oct 1661 and the date his inventory was taken 5 April 1662. Thomas's will mentions his eldest daughter, Dorothy, who is incapable of caring for herself. He asks his wife, Hannah, to care for her and gives his entire estate to his wife, during her life, to bring up his "sweet babes." He mentions property he will receive when his mother (unnamed) dies and asks that his brother Capt Richard Lord and his friend Samuel Boreman be supervisors. His inventory was valued at £202.18.00.[2]
Title: Doctor[3] The General court at Hartford, Connecticut, engaged Thomas Lord, Jr. in 1652, to continue his abode at Hartford and improve his skill for the inhabitants of the towns on the river in their jurisdiction, for the "setting of bones and otherwise; he was to be paid a salary of 15 pounds per year."[3]
