Biography

Deborah, daughter of Thomas and Mary (Southworth) Loring, was born at Duxbury, MA on March 31, 1738. She married Jeremiah Finney, son of Jeremiah and Elizabeth (Bristow) Finney after September 5, 1754 (date of intentions).

Both her parents died in 1739. On August 12, 1741 Joshua Loring was appointed guardian.[1] He provided "sundrys" for her when she went to live with her paternal grandmother, Deborah (Cushing) (Loring) Richmond, from 1741 through 1754.[2]

Deborah received thirteen acres in the division of the estate of her father, Thomas Loring, on May 2, 1746. She and husband, Jeremiah Finney, sold this property to Joshua Loring on May 25, 1755.

Deborah died at Bristol, RI on November 9, 1791 at the age of 51.

It was Deborah Loring, the daughter of Nathaniel and Priscilla (Bailey) Loring, that married Jehiel/Joel Simmons. The profiles have been corrected.
I believe Deborah Loring, daughter of Thomas and Mary (Southworth) Loring is the Deborah who married Jehiel Simmons. Jaspar Stahl in his "The History of Old Broad Bay and Waldoboro" states that Jehiel bought much of Hungry Island with his brother-in-law Levi Loring.
