Mary's LNAB and that of her parents need to be changed to Lord to match the 12 birth records for Richard and Mary that all list them as "Lord".

I propose to detach this Mary Lort (Lord) from Thomas Coleman and return her to "Maine". And create a "Mary Unknown" that is the wife of Thomas Coleman of King and Queen County, as listed in his Will. I will proceed on 27 Feb 2023 unless there is an objection, with reliable sources to maintain the existing marriage and parents of Mary.

Richard and Mary Lord appear to have had 12 children between 1708 and 1732.

Mary Lord was born 17 Jan 1722 in Berwick, York, not Virginia.

Is there a reliable source for the LNAB Lort?

I believe this may be the right order of things. Most of the profiles are already available and I am requesting merges to blend it all together. Most of this is based on the will of Thomas Coleman Sr. (1652 - 1748) and on
  • Coleman of Wales and Virginia, will transcript of Thomas Coleman1[1]
  • Wills from The Bird Papers, 1696-1810 King and Queen County Continued from The Bird Papers, Volume 2, Number 1, page 9, Will of Thomas Coleman, 1748. [2]

1st Spouse and children Rebecca Ann Claiborne ?surname? 1650– Mary Coleman 1678–1723 Ann Coleman 1680–1762 Grizzell Coleman 1682–1701 Sarah Coleman 1687– Thomas Coleman Jr 1688–1781 John Coleman 1699–

2nd Spouse and children Mary Lort 1681–1748 Robert Coleman 1701–1793 Richard Lort Coleman 1706–1752 Lucy Coleman 1718–1761 Dorothy Dolly Coleman 1732–1809 Elizabeth 'Betty' Coleman

Lord-3393 and Lort-19 appear to represent the same person because: Lort is the correct spelling.
Lord-3393 and Lort-19 do not represent the same person because: Thomas Coleman of King and Queen County, husband of Mary, and Thomas Coleman of Gloucester County, husband of Elizabeth, are being conflated. Elizabeth is not Mary.
