Biography

Israel Canfield' Losey, son of Jacob & Anna (Canfield) Losey. born September 8,1802, in Dover, New Jersey, died Jan. 1, 1851, in Newark, New Jersey, he married Eliza Halsey[1] on June 7, 1824, in Trenton, New Jersey, they had 5 children. Ann Eliza'. Matilda Foote'. Jacob Losey'. Rose Ailing'. Frederick Canfield'. He was a member of the first Board of Directors of the Union Bank of Dover, New Jersey, in 1832. He was also a member of the firm of Hunt & Losey, merchants in Dover. Buried in Morristown, New Jersey. [2]
