Note
Wife Katherine Loshaw is shown as a widow in 1851 Canada census. Mitchell Loshaw probably died between 1846 (just before youngest son Mitchell's birth, and 1851 (date of the census).
In both Canadian and U.S. censuses, son John H. Loshaw states that his father died at sea.[1]
