Biography

Samuel Lathrop, the son of John Lothrop (Lathrop) and Ruth Royce, died about 1745. He was married twice. On February 3, 1703/4 he married his first wife, Ruth Peck, the daughter of John Peck and Mary Moss. She died in January 1738 and on September 27, 1738 he married Lydia Elcock, the daughter of Thomas Elcock and Martha Munson, and the widow of Benjamin Brockett. With his first wife he had one child, Barnabas, born May 6, 1705, who died childless. With his second wife he had two children: John and Ruth.[1]

He first married Lydia (unknown), second marriage to Ruth (unknown).[2]
