Esther Loton was born 29 July 1682 in Chatham, Kent and baptised[1] 16 August 1682 at Chatham: St Mary the Virgin, Chatham, Kent.
Esther Loton was the second wife of Jacob Acworth and they married[2] in Chatham on 12 February 1709. Esther was a widow when she married Jacob[3].
Esther and Jacob had two daughters: Esther (born 12 May and baptised at Woolwich on 24 May 1711) and Avice (born 19 May and baptised at Woolwich 19 May 1712).
In 1751 there is a record[4] of a Dame Esther Acworth paying Land Tax while living at Farringdon Without, England. Her husband Jacob had been knighted - so she was a dame but also a widow by 1751 as her husband had died in 1748.
In 1752 she paid[5] Land Tax at Tower, City of London.
Esther (Lowton) Acworth died in December 1752. No record of exactly when she died or where she was buried has been discovered.
