Biography
William and his wife Sarah, already a married couple, had children born in Queensland, Australia, the first being Emma Eliza.
It is believed that 2 older children, Sarah Durant Lott and John English Lott either accompanied them on the ship, yet to be tracked down, or the 2 older children were born in Australia, but outside of Queensland, before the family settled here.
The only life event reference found for William (so far) is his death, posted below, but it answers the burning question of where the "Girling" came from !!
Several of the children have a reference to the name.
