A careful study of the letters on this census page shows that the initial letter of the surname is "L". It appears the the double "t" is not crossed but the profile of Stephen Lott's family fits perfectly with this enumeration and he is only several pages away in the census from his father-in-law: John Sasnett. I therefore conclude that it is the correct entry for Stephen Lott.
