Allen Watson b. 1801 in PA d. 28 Oct 1855 in Buchanan Co, IA. He married Charity Ann Loucks and had 10 children. This whole family moved from Canada to Belvidere, Boone Co, IL abt 1847 [based on birth locations of children] then moved to Buchanan Co. IA about 1852.
1850 Census lists birth date as 1814 NY, which means she was married abt age 14 and had her first child at age 15. The census shows 10 living children, the first 9 were born in [Ontario] Canada. I tend to believe the later birth date, likely between 1812 and 1814, because it is rare to have children after age 40. An 1806 birth date means the last child would have been born at age 46.

Notes from the James Watson family farm Cemetery in Elgin County Ontario, containing the graves, says she was born 1806 in NY.

Her ancestry is unknown. There are several Loucks born in Middleburg NY around 1808. She may be related to the wife of John Rice b. 1756 Montgomery County, NY (a soldier in the Revolution) who married 2nd Charity Loucks, d/o Joseph Sr. & Margaret Loucks.. This Charity's father had Revolutionary War service: Joseph Loucks 1754 - Apr 1825 from Ellicott NY. He settled in Madison Co NY and moved to Chautauqua NY with his sons John, Daniel, and Hiram and 2 daughters, Margaret wife of Jeremiah Griffith Jr. and Polly wife of William G. Yonker. Later came the older sons Joseph, Henry, Peter and David and a daughter Charity, wife of John Rice, all of whom had families or came with them. Likely one of the sons had a daughter Charity born abt 1810.
She may also be related to Charity (Gertrude) Loucks (nee Zon or Son) Feb 18, 1772 Kinderhook, Columbia County, NY - Dec. 28, 1876 Nassau NY, daughter of Moses Son and Christina Vosburg Son, wife of Tunis Loucks. Mother of at least 6 children born 1802-1813.
The Loucks name may have originally been spelled Laux by the French immigrants, or it may be the original Dutch spelling.
