Thomas was born about 1787 in England. Thomas passed away in 1867 ( as noted on his headstone = view at website "field of stones"/oxford co. offsite/Bleinhem, Princeton cemetery. Here, you will also find his wife Jane who died in 1881. He lived and farmed in Burford, Ontario...his family spread out to Paris and surrounding areas..and two sons and his widow later made their way over to Glanford, Ontario. Joseph Lowden/Louden farmed next to him & Joseph is likely Thomas' son or nephew. You can view Joseph's lot & concession # at the Canadian County Digital Atlas online (Brant co. - Burford).
Do not know when he emigrated from England or any details about him. Only find him on early census records. Cannot find marriage record of him and wife Jane. Unknown where they married. First son Thomas Jr. claimed to have been born in Port Credit, Ont. (on his death record 1915- Brant co., Paris Ont.) & third son Robert b. Chinguacousy, Ont. (noted on marriage record to Sarah Cotton). Do not know if they (parents = Thomas & Jane) married in England, or Canada..
