Biography
Samuel James, or James which he preferred, was born in 1738. He exchanged wedding vows when he was just fourteen with Hannah Russel in Camden, Kershaw Co. South Carolina. According to some info, they remarried eleven later in Bucks Co. Pennsylvania. They raised a family of ten children, thru-out Pennsylvania, Virginia, and South Carolina. James passed away at only fifty-two years of age in Chester Co. South Carolina.
