Biography

On 18 July 1854, Josephine "Josie" Estelle Love, daughter of Joseph B. Love and Rebecca J. McElroy of Madison County, Tennessee, married William Francis Daniel in Freestone County, Texas. He was a widower with three children, John T., 16, Francis R., 9, and Martha Elizabeth, 5. She and William had six children between 1855 and 1871: William Dunbar, Moultrie, Leonard, Frances, Anna Love, and Mary Rebecca. William died in 1872, leaving Josephine with their six children ages 1 to 17. Josie married second, Lewis B. Haynie in 1892, and moved to Navarro County, Texas. Lewis died in 1905. Texas Deaths, 1890-1976, records Josephine Haynie, born 17 October 1835 in Tennessee, died 15 August 1921 in Corsicana, Navarro, Texas at 85 years, 9 months, 28 days, and was buried in Oakwood Cemetery on 16 Aug 1921. She was a widowed housekeeper and a daughter of Joseph Love and McElroy, both born in Tennessee.
