Biography

Susanna was born in 1843. She was the daughter of James Love and Lucy Bristow. Her father James was much older than her mother and Lucy appears to have died a year after Susanna was born. Her birth is a civil registration - no parish details for baptism found yet.

In 1861 Lucy was employed as a house servant and living with a George and Jane Biggs. George is listed as the "proprieter of the house" in Reading. England Census


Susanna married Henry Smith /Smyth in April 1865 in the April /May /June quarter. The marriage was a civil registration. [1]

Shortly after the couple boarded the ship "Adamant" for South Australia from Plymouth. Henry is listed as a labourer and both of them are aged 22. Passenger Manifet: Emigrants from PLymouth [2]

She passed away in 1890.
