The 1910 census records Charlie, age 25, residing in Wacissa, Jefferson County, Florida with his wife of two years and young son. He works in the logging industry who can read but cannot write.^[2]

In 1930, Chally Love, 38, is residing on Fairfield Avenue in a rented house in Avon Park, Highlands County, Florida, with his wife and son. He is employed as a log sawer in a logging camp. Charlie did not attend school but he can now read and write.^[3]

The 1935 Florida State census records Charlie, 45, in Avon Park, Precinct 1A living with his wife and son.^[4]

By 1940, Charlie, 53, is earning $100 from private work, He is residing with his wife in Avon Park.^[5]

Charlie Love, Sr. passed away April 22, 1948 in Avon Park.^[6]He is buried in the Lakeside Historical Cemetery in Avon Park. A gravestone marks his burial site.^[7]
