Biography

Lucy was born in 1907. She was the daughter of Edward Love and Dora Carnes.

Edward Love married Dora Virginia Carnes in 1906 in Coldspring, Texas. Their family can be found living in a home they owned on the Camilla/Coldspring Road at the time of the 1910 Census. Those in the household included Ed Love (31 yrs), Head of Household, occupation, Lawyer, Dora Love (22 yrs), Lucy Love (3 yrs) and Edward W Love Jr. (6/12 yrs). Also included in the household was Lewis Washington (23 yrs), occupation, Servant/Cook for the family. Edward and Dora had been married 4 years and were the parents of 2 children, both living at the time of the Census.

At the time of the 1920 Census, Edward and Dora Love can be found living in a home they owned mortgage free in Cleveland, Texas. Those in the household included E W Love (41 yrs), Head of Household, occupation, Attorney at Law, Dora V Love (32 yrs), Lucy Love (12 yrs), Buck E Love (10 yrs), Henry Love (4 yrs), Sam Love (1 yr) and "Rannie" (Mamie) Love (8/12 yrs). She passed away in 1997.
