Elizabeth was a physician.

Elizabeth (Lovelace) Pickett was a Pennsylvanian.

Elizabeth McCormick Lovelace was born in 1868. She is the daughter of George Lovelace and Margaret McCormick. Elizabeth graduated from Women’s Medical College in 1895. She married Dr. William Clendenin Pickett in 1904. He was one of the best known medical authorities in the United States on nervous diseases and a member of the faculty of the Medico Chirurgical College in Philadelphia when he died. In 1906 he was elected President of the Neurological Society.

They had a son William Clendenin Pickett on 14 Dec 1905. Elizabeth practiced medicine for 53 years. Her husband passed away in 1907, and she did not remarry.

Elizabeth was the head of the women’s department at Philadelphia General Hospital. She was a noted neurologist, as she conducted a sanitarium for nervous diseases. Besides being a physician, she was also a wonderful civic leader. Dr. Elizabeth Pickett passed away in 1951.
