My Papaw said that Granny Cora had Cherokee blood. I have not been able prove or disprove the fact. When she passed they measured her air and wa over 5' long. She had never had a hair cut other than trimming it on the new moon. He is said she kept it long and only trimmed it at that time because of her indian heritage. I remember sitting with my back to her chair as they took it down and brushed it. It was straight and silver. It looked like rain running through my fingers and falling onto my lap.
