Biography

Catherine (Lovy) Banvard was a Huguenot emigrant (1540-1790).

Jean Carlin (38) is listed on the passenger list of the ship Speedwell in 1752 as a joiner.^[1] With him at this time was his wife Catherine Elizabeth and possibly 3 daughters?

Unfortunately Jean and two of his daughters were dead within a year of arriving in Halifax.^[2] Jean's wife Catherine Elizabeth remarried to David Banvard later in 1753.
