In 1881 Ellen was living with her parents and 5 siblings in Golborne. Her father was a clogger. [1]
She married Thomas Hill in 1894. Their marriage was registered in Wigan, Lancashire. [2] The couple had at least 6 children. [3]
In 1911 Ellen was living with her husband and 5 children in Ashton in Makerfield. Her husband was a colliery stores keeper. [3]
