Leon Lowe is a part of US Black heritage.

Leon was born in 1931. He passed away in 2014.

Obituary:

Leon Vernon Lowe, Sr. was born September 20, 1931 to Diamond and Maggie Lowe in Wellston, Oklahoma, and He was the oldest of eight children. He graduated from Dunbar High School, Wellston, Oklahoma. He was drafted into United Army shortly after high school.

After serving his country he was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses.

Leon was married on March 28th 1952 to Wilma Jean (Butler) Lowe and to this union nine children were born. He was employed through Midwest City for over 20 years and later established his own business as Lowe's Janitorial Service.

Leon was preceded in death by his wife Wilma Lowe, by both parents, son James Earl Lowe, sister Laura Ann Neff and brother, Lee Wayne Lowe. He leaves to cherish his memory his eight children: Shirley (Chester) Burnett of Wichita, KS, Faye (Pancho) Gonzalez, Oklahoma City, OK, Leon Lowe, Jr. and Nettie Lowe, both of Jones, OK, Raymond (Mary) Lowe of Spencer, OK, Kenny Lowe of Oklahoma City, OK, Jackie (Lamar) Crowder of Wichita, KS, Annette (Sirlee) Wright of Midwest City, OK, twenty-two grandchildren, twenty-seven great grandchildren, five siblings: Lawrence Lowe, Ralph Lowe, William (Henry) Lowe, Charles Lowe and Margaret Lowe, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, many other family members, his spiritual family and many friends.
