DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships by comparing test results with Evan or other carriers of his ancestors' Y-chromosome or mitochondrial DNA. Y-chromosome DNA test-takers in his direct paternal line on WikiTree:
  • Evan Lowe: Family Tree DNA Y-DNA Test 12 markers, haplogroup J-L174.1, FTDNA kit #293558
Mitochondrial DNA test-takers in the direct maternal line:

Lowe-2441 and Lowe-2364 appear to represent the same person because: It's hard to tell from the sources and ancestry, but do believe these are the same person and my 4th cousin.

Congratulations, you've been a member for a month!

Check out Beyond the Basics of WikiTree for a guide on some of our more advanced features such as Projects, Categories, Merging, Templates and Volunteer Opportunities!

We're very active on our social sites and we have an excellent blog where you'll find our monthly newsletter as well as tips, interviews with our members and guest posts from others in the genealogy community.

Try our Relationship Finder! It searches 20 generations. If you find a duplicate profile, the other managers are probably related. You can use this to find out how!

Hi!

Just checking in with a few quick tips:

Free Space pages are wiki pages for supplementing your family history. They can be used to profile anything of significance such as a special pet, a meaningful event, a school you attended, a family heirloom .... They're "anything pages".

Not sure what to include in a profile? Check out our Biography Ideas and Styles and Standards help pages.

Lastly, sometimes you'll run into unresponsive profile managers. We have a process for resolving those unfortunate situations.

Do you have any questions I can help with?

Eowyn ~ Mentor

Hi Evan ,

Thank you for joining WikiTree. As a WikiTree Mentor I am available to answer any questions or help solve any issues you may be having.

How To Use WikiTree is a good place to start. It is a step-by-step-guide to WikiTree basics. Our G2G Forum is searchable or you can post a question there. The Help Index is also an important place to find how to do most tasks.

It is very important that no duplicate profiles are created in WikiTree. Please read this page for clues on avoiding profile duplication.

Feel free to ask me via my profile page if you have any questions. ~Terry~

If you have questions while getting started, someone may be able to point you in the right direction in our G2G forum or you might want to check out the introductory WikiTree video that a member created.

If you would like to contribute your family's tree and you agree with our Honor Code (click the link to it in the drop-down menu in "Help" at upper right), volunteer here on your profile and we would be glad to add you to our WikiTree community. Donna

Looking forward to assisting and collaborating with my Bahamian cousins to document our mutual ancestors.
