I lived beside Uncle Minnis when I was growing up and played with his grandchildren and went to school with them at Rosedale elementary. Uncle Minnis always had a large garden, hogs and chickens. He was a very hard worker and was a very strict man. The Lowe men worked hard and expected their children and Grandchildren to work hard as well. They believed in children should be seen but not heard.
