Biography

When James Dudley Low was born on July 7, 1847, in Gordo, Alabama, his father, John, was 26 and his mother, Sarah, was 28. He married Malsey Vanderian Brandon in 1867 in his hometown. They had nine children in 21 years. He died on November 20, 1922, in his hometown at the age of 75, and was buried there.

Note regarding year of death - monument pictured on findagrave clearly says 1922 but I found him on the 1930 census living with his daughter Annie and her family. So that's peculiar...
