I have always been interested in my Family Tree it started when I was a young child, probably around the age of 9. To be more specific my father John S (Jack) Lowell would always to his kids "Remember who you are and where you came from". As back in New England, the Lowell family name was a very popular, well known, rich family. Even when the first Lowell immigrant arrived on the shores of the Bay Colony. His name was Percival Lowle and he was 66 years old when he arrived with his entire family and settled in Newbury, Massachusetts. On my maternal side it was my Great Aunt Dorothy (Morgan) McCratic who was the Family Historian on my Morgan/Hatch Family Tree. All I remember from a conversation my Great Aunt was having with my mother is the comment she made about my blonde hair.Stating I must take after the Hatch side of the family. In 2005 I moved with my family, my ex-husband and our 2 kids to Florida. I didn't know anyone, I didn't have a job. Then I met my ex-husbands boss Pat and she knew the Lowell name well. That's when the genealogy bug bit me! It's been non-stop since then. I surpassed all of my family Historians and family stories as I dug deep into the world of Genealogy. I proved all of the family stories to be just that, stories and found the Truth behind them. After my first 2 years researching I discovered that we had Mayflower ancestors on my maternal grandmothers line. Being from New England that was a BIG! to do for my family. I have proven 7 Mayflower Ancestry lines. Of course I had to join the General Society of Mayflower Descendants, Francis Cooke Colony in the state of Florida. After 3 years of membership and lineage research on my family, the current Historian for my Colony asked me to be her replacement so she could finally retire. Joan Drury was 86 years old and passed away a year after her asking me to take over. She was loved by everyone in the Francis Cooke Colony. My proven Mayflower Ancestors are: John Alden, William Brewster,Myles Standish, George Mullins (father of Priscilla Mullins Alden), George Soul, Henry Sampson, Francis Cooke. I also have double and triple descent on several of these gentlemen. I am still currently preparing applications on other Mayflower Ancestors. I am also a member of the DAR (Daughters of the American Revolution), I joined in 2011. I have many ancestors to prove there but have lapsed on getting them done.

Hi, Julie!

It's fine if you don't want to upload your gedcom. Mine was in the same shape. As for you DNA, WikiTree does not store raw data. Instead, what you include on your profile is the name of the test you took. Eventually this will populate through your ancestry, and you will be able to make connections to others who share the same lineage.

With your experience, you are going to be a real asset to WikiTree. I hope your WikiTree experience is as fruitful and enjoyable as mine has been.

Kind regards,

Pippin

Thank You, Pip!

I am working on getting set up as a volunteer. I don't want to upload my gedcom file, I know there are errors in it. Can I upload my DNA files? I have experience in genealogy research. I used to be a Historian for the GSMD in my Colony. The Lineage applications. Julie
