CHARLES LOWRY SR. was born Bef. 1741 in Said to be from the North of Ireland, and died Aft. 1812 in Franklin co. Georgia. He married UNKNOWN.

Census: 1800 Laurens co. SC- Next to Charles Jr. 1790 Census Newberry District (county) SC- Next to Charles Jr.
Court Records: November 10 1775. First appears in Rowan Co. court documents pertaining to guardianship of Sarah Peterson. Again on February 6, 1777 pertaining to Elizabeth and Sarah Patterson (sic).
Property: January 7 1775, Received a grant on Coddle Creek. Again on February 25, 1778 Entry No. 505, State Grant No. 34-North Carolina granted Charles Lowrey 250 acres on the headwaters of Houston's Branch of coddle Creek in rowan co. (Deed Book 9. p. 97)
Residence: April 6 1786, Sold 200 acres on Fullelow Creek in rowan (now Iredell) co. (Deed Book 9, [. 609) to John Baker of Meeklenburg co for 50 pounds. This may have been the original grant from 1775 (see Property)
