Biography
William was born in Pleasant Springs, South Carolina in 1859.[1] He was one of eleven children:

He married Barbara Ann Bickley around 1886, and they had four children:

Colie Jenkins Lowman (1890-1934)
Bessie Inez Lowman (1893-1975)
He was a farmer in Dutch Fork, outside of Columbia, South Carolina. Toward the end of his life, he left farming and lived with his daughter, Inez, and her family in Chapin, South Carolina.[2] He died there and is buried at Bethlehem Lutheran Church cemetery in Irmo, South Carolina.
