Obituary
Chandler, Martha J. (Lowrey) Rivenburgh
Died, at the family residence last Saturday evening, after an illness of several weeks’ duration, Mrs. Martha J. Chandler, wife of Mr. T. O. Chandler, aged 39 years and 3 months. This kind and christian lady had been a sufferer for many days, and although at times in great agony, bore her sufferings with fortitude, and in a manner becoming a true christian. She leave a bereaved husband and several little children to mourn her untimely demise. She was popular with all who knew her, her kindness of heart and charitable nature winning her many friends. She was a sister of the Messrs Lowrey of this city. Her remains were laid to rest Sunday evening in the Odd Fellows’ cemetery, the funeral being largely attended. Our sympathy is extended the bereaved ones.
