Lydia's parents were Jesse C. Lowther & Phebe Cunningham. Her paternal grandparents were Thomas Lowther & Mary Coburn. Her maternal grandparents were Revolutionary War soldier, William Cunningham, & Susanna Barbara Handyshel. Her siblings were Mabel M., Margaret, William H., Rebecca Jane, John G., Leah C., Barbara, Phebe, Matilda H., Mabel H., & Mary Ann Lowther. Lydia was the great granddaughter of the Revolutionary War soldier, Col. William Lowther. "
