Biography

Holland was born in Liverpool, Lancashire, England in 1839. He was the son of George Loxton and Catherine Holland.

In the census of 1841 and 1851 he was living with his parents and siblings in Hayton. Lancashire, England.

The family migrated to Australia and Holland worked as a clerk.

Holland married Mary Anne X and they had a daughter Catharine Celeste Loxton born on 26th May 1867 in Kew, Victoria.

It is assumed his first wife died and he married secondly Matilde Elizabeth X and they had 5 children all born in Kew, Victoria: Francis Henry Loxton born 3 Dec 1876 ^[1] and died 25th February 1959 ^[2] Probate granted in 1960. Isabel Edith Loxton born on 15 June 1880 ^[3] George Reginald Loxton born 3 September 1882 ^[4] Charles Arthur Loxton born 30 April 1878 ^[5] Carl Loxton born 13 March 1889 ^[6]

Holland passed away in Kew, Victoria Australia in 1901. Probate was granted on 23 May.
