Adam Loy was born about 1788 in Sandy Ridge area of Hampshire County, Virginia, son of Daniel Loy (abt. 1755–abt. 1844) and Anna Christina Muehlschlaegel (1757–aft. 1834).
Adam (19) married Sarah Hiatt (17); daughter of Reverend Evan Hiett and Sarah (Smith) Hiatt; in 1808 in Hampshire County, Virginia. Their children were:
In 1850, Adam (61) was living in Hampshire, Virginia. [1]
Adam died before 1888, aged about 99.
