Also named as Mary Katherine in the death certificate of her son, Chalmers. It's common to find the name Catherine (or Catharine) evolving to Katherine in later years.

Lysinger

Mrs. Mary C. Lysinger, 80 years of age, died at 4:50 p. m. yesterday, at her home, 130 Ninth Street, Silvis. Death was due to complications of old age.

Mrs. Lysinger was born Aug. 1, 1845, at Mt. Pleasant, Pa. She then moved to Altona, Pa., where she was married to Martin G. Lysinger, Nov. 29, 1870. The family moved to Havelock, Neb., where they resided for about thirty years. They moved to Silvis about five years ago. She was a member of the Methodist church.

She is survived by her husband, two sons, W. J., and C. F. Lysinger, two daughters, Mrs. Grace Messersmith and Mrs. Verna M. Johnson, one grandson, Jay Lysinger, and one granddaughter, Ruth Messersmith, all of Silvis.

The funeral will be held at 2 p. m. tomorrow at the Esterdahl chapel. Rev. E. R. McBroom, pastor of the First Methodist church of Silvis, will officiate. Burial will be in the Hampton Cemetery.
