DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Gideon Rudolph by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Gideon Rudolph:
Based on this, he was born in 1790 & married in 1836, yet he has 7 children listed all supposedly born before his marriage, with the first child born when he was two years' old. It seems several of his children were baptised either as adults or some time after birth. It seems likely that he was either married previously or involved in a de-facto relationship.
Either way, I am not inclined to link any of the "children" until their Baptism records have been located so I can confirm their parentage.
