Agnes was born[1] 20th August 1857 at Berry's Court, Dalkeith and is the daughter of Andrew Lucas and Charlotte McLAUCHLAN. She was baptized at the Free Church or Saint John's United Free Church, Dalkeith 26th December 1857.
She married[2]Alexander Currie 21st June 1889 at North Leith. There were no children of this marriage.
Agnes (Lucas) Currie migrated from Scotland to New South Wales, Australia.
Agnes and Alexander Currie departed from London on 27 Nov 1908 aboard the "Ormuz" and arrived[3] in Sydney, Australia mid to late Dec 1908.
Agnes Currie died[4] 26th July 1938 at Newington State Hospital, Lidcombe, NSW. At her death it was state that she had been residing in the colonies for 35 years, if accurate this places her arrival around 1903, although I haven't managed to find any documentation (yet). She was cremated at Rookwood Crematorium and her ashes were scattered[5] in the Rose Garden according to family wishes on 28th July 1938.
