When John Manly Lucas was born on November 12, 1819, in Northumberland, New Hampshire,^[1][2] his father, Timothy, was 37 and his mother, Elizabeth, was 34. He married Adeline H. Woodward on June 7, 1853, in Lancaster, New Hampshire. They had two children during their marriage. He had three brothers and two sisters.
