Alice was born 18 Dec 1893[1] in Canaseraga, Allegany Co,, New York. She was the daughter of Edwin Luce and Maude Shay.[1]
It appears that her legal name was Marguerite Alice, but when given the option, she chose to reverse the two names.[2]
On 16 Feb 1918 she married William Short from down-state.[2] They had no progeny. [1]
Alice pre-deceased her husband by eleven years, passing away 14 Feb 1958[1] in NYC.[3]
