They had the following children:

  1. Alsbury Luce (1764–1814)
  2. possibly Nathan Luce Jr (see notes)

Sarah died 1765.

He married Ann Crowell 8 Apr 1766 in Vineyard Haven, Massachusetts Bay Colony.[4][5]

  2. Deborah Luce (1773)

  • 1800 Farmington, Kennebec, Maine, United States [7]

Research Notes

  • Family Search shows a son, Nathan Jr but he is no sources. He may be the son in the 1880 census but the Elisha listed is too young to be listed seperate so probably another Elisha.
  • Banks says he was in the seacoast defense.
    • He is not in the DAR or SAR system.
    • Martha's Vineyard Museum (http://history.vineyard.net/dukes/msswr.htm) lists a Nathan Luce listed in Massachusetts Soldiers and Sailors in the War of the Revolution, Volume 10; page 13, Luce, Nathan.Private, Capt. Nathan Smith's co.; service from June 1, 1776, to Nov. 21, 1776, 5 mos. 20 days; company stationed at Martha's Vineyard for defence of seacoast; also, Lieut. Jeremiah Manter's detachment; service from Nov. 20, 1776, to Dec. 31, 1776, 1 mo. 10 days; detachment stationed at Martha's Vineyard.
  • 1800 Census Nathen listed believed to be this Nathan (Sr) and not Nathan Jr because there is 1 male 17-26, 1 male 45 and up, and 1 female 45 and up. Nathan Jr would only be 17 though I'm not sure where daughter Deborah would be (no other female listed). Also, Elisha should only be 10 if date above is correct so perhaps he had a brother Elisha? All 3 state immigrated 1794? Maybe to Maine?'
