James was born in 1709 and was the son of David Luce and Elizabeth Pease.^[1]

He married Mary Tracy in 1739 in Connecticut - parents of James and Lot Luce (Lot died in infancy)

He passed away in 1765 and is buried at Old Scotland Cemetery North, Scotland, Windham, Connecticut, USA
