Early Life

Alvin Wesley Luce was born on February 1, 1870 in Sandusky, Ohio, United States.^[1][2][3] son of Willard Benton Luce (1846–1900) and Alice Arlitta Steward (1850–1911).^[4][5] He appeared to be attending the Nemo Township School in Nemo, Lawrence, South Dakota when he was 20.^[2]

Family

He married Ludie Caroline Kirckhoff on 16 Dec 1891, Deadwood, Lawrence, South Dakota.^[6]

They had the following children:
