Early Life

Alvin Wesley Luce was born on February 1, 1870 in Sandusky, Ohio, United States.[1][2][3] son of Willard Benton Luce (1846–1900) and Alice Arlitta Steward (1850–1911).[4][5] He appeared to be attending the Nemo Township School in Nemo, Lawrence, South Dakota when he was 20.[2]

Family

He married Ludie Caroline Kirckhoff on 16 Dec 1891, Deadwood, Lawrence, South Dakota.[6]

They had the following children:

  1. E. Lila Marie Luce (1894–1961)

Alvin died 9 September 1901 in of Nemo, Lawrence, South Dakota, aged 31 of heart disease. He was buried at Piedmont cemetery on 11 Sep 1901.[9][5]

He was buried at the Piedmont Cemetery according to his death notice but a Findagrave record was not found.
