Biography

Elisabeth Luchsinger[1][2] was born on 23 May 1697 in Schwanden, Glarus, Switzerland[3][4][5] the youngest of six known children and four daughters of Fridolin and Magdalena Truempy Luchsinger.[6]

Family of birth

On 23 September 1678 in Schwanden, Glarus, Switzerland,[7] Fridolin Luchsinger married Magdalena Truempy. She bore him six known children, two sons and four daughters:
  1. Samuel Luchsinger, b 1679
  2. Anna Luchsinger, b 1682
  3. Hans Heinrich Luchsinger, b 1686
  4. Verena Luchsinger, b 1689
  5. Anna Luchsinger, b 1692
  6. Elisabeth Luchsinger

Marriage and family

On 2 December 1718, when she was twenty-one, Elisabeth married Heinrich Zopfi in Schwanden.[8] She bore him nine known children, three sons and six daughters:

  2. Fridolin Zopfi, 28 Jan 1722-28 Aug 1728
  3. Magdalena Zopfi, 3 Mar 1724-30 Aug 1728

It should be noticed. (assuming the above information is correct) that Elizabeth and Heinrich lost their three oldest children of an unknown cause within two or three days of each other (27-29 Aug 1728), Elizabeth must have been about five months pregnant with their fifth child (Fridolin, born 1 January 1729). at the time.(Prickett-120,14 May 2019).
On 12 February 1754, when she was fifty-six, she died of unknown causes in Thon, Schwanden.[10][11][12]
