Biography
Ruth Helen Luckenbach was born on July 9, 1918 in Spokane,Spokane County, Washington . [1]
Ruth was adoped by Ceevie Sumner and Helen Blaisdell, Helen was actually her Mothers sister. So Her biological aunt became Ruth's mother.
She was brought up in Seattle Washington & graduated from Lincoln High School. She went on to the University of Washington and the met her future husband at couples club at the University Congregational Church. She Graduated with a BS in Home Economics. Later after raising her family she returned to the U of W and graduated with a teaching certificate. She taught in high school for 10 years before a stroke partially paralized her. She passed away March 24, 2002 in Des Moines, King, Washington. [2] [3]and was buried at Acacia Memorial Park and Funeral Home, Lake Forest Park. Her memorial] has photos and links to those of family members.[4]
