Nicholas was born about 1780. He was the son of Johann Nicholas Ludwig and Maria Magdalena Ludwick. He passed away about 1830. [1]

Shortly after Nicholas' birth, his father died. Nicholas is named in his father's will, along with his mother and siblings. He was specifically left 50 pounds by his father.
