Biography

William Charles Ludwig was born March 13, 1892, in Apple Creek Township, Cape Girardeau, Missouri, a son of William J. Ludwig and Amalia Sitner, ^[1] married January 22, 1888. ^[2] William is found at the age of 8 years old, on the United States Census of 1900, living in Apple Creek Township with his 38 year old parents, William and "Millie" Ludwig. William is found at the age of 18 years, on the 1910 Census of St Louis, Missouri, living in the household of his parents. ^[3] William is found at the age of 27 years on the Census of 1920, living at home with his parents. ^[4]

William married Ida W. Mecker, born August 26, 1894, a daughter of Henry Mecker and Catherine Therese Bangert ^[5] William and Ida are found on the United States Census of 1930, with three children. ^[6] William died May 6, 1971, at the age of 79 years and is buried in the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery, in Perryville, Perry county, Missouri. ^[7]
