Lufkin-98 and Lufkin-27 do not represent the same person because: These two should NOT be merged. Information is incorrect.

Thomas B 1682 is the son of Thomas and Mary, born in Gloucester, Essex, MA, see the VR here: https://books.google.com/books?id=FHHRp6wRdqkC&printsec=frontcover&dq=Thomas+Lufkin+Rachel+Riggs&hl=en&sa=X&ei=qw9nVcenMMHpsAXkvIL4Bg&ved=0CEwQ6AEwCA#v=onepage&q=Lufkin&f=false

This Thomas b 1682 can NOT be the same person who married Mary Myles in 1690 and Sarah Downing in 1692. See https://books.google.com/books?id=ORhFAQAAMAAJ&pg=PA113&dq=Thomas+Lufkin+Rachel+Riggs&hl=en&sa=X&ei=qw9nVcenMMHpsAXkvIL4Bg&ved=0CCwQ6AEwAw#v=onepage&q=Thomas%20Lufkin%20Rachel%20Riggs&f=false

Rachel Riggs and Thomas Lufkin were married 8 Dec 1720 in G;oucester, Essex, MA; see the VR here : https://books.google.com/books?id=2X8lAQAAMAAJ&pg=PA369&dq=Thomas+Lufkin+Rachel+Riggs&hl=en&sa=X&ei=qw9nVcenMMHpsAXkvIL4Bg&ved=0CCIQ6AEwAQ#v=onepage&q=Thomas%20Lufkin%20Rachel%20Riggs&f=false

Rachel Riggs afterwards married Thomas Choate; see https://books.google.com/books?id=Rdk4AQAAMAAJ&pg=PA20&dq=Thomas+Lufkin+Rachel+Riggs&hl=en&sa=X&ei=qw9nVcenMMHpsAXkvIL4Bg&ved=0CB0Q6AEwAA#v=onepage&q=Thomas%20Lufkin%20Rachel%20Riggs&f=false

Rachel Riggs dau of John and Ruth b 30 Aug 1704 in Gloucester, Essex, MA, see VR here : https://books.google.com/books?id=FHHRp6wRdqkC&dq=Thomas%20Lufkin%20Rachel%20Riggs&pg=PA583#v=onepage&q=riggs&f=false (page 583)

Thomas b 1682 would have been 22 years older than his wife, so I don’t think this is the right one.

Many corrections are needed before this line is straightened out!

Lufkin-98 and Lufkin-27 appear to represent the same person because: They are both married to Rachel Riggs — married December 8, 1720 in Ipswich, Essex, Mass. Sadly the Lufkin tree is in a mess. This link shows some reason why. So many spouses and similar names. Maybe we can straighten it all out?
