Biography
Peter Luke was born in 1809 in Northumberland, Pennsylvania, the son of Mary and William. He married twice, second to Mary Jane Magee in 1842 ( I do not yet know the name of his first wife). Their known children are:
- Luke (1843-1864)
- Mary Ellen (1847-1921)
- Frank W (1852)[1]
- Martha "Mattie" J. K. (1855)
- Stephen (1868)
He died on October 17, 1891, in Emmett, Michigan, having lived a long life of 82 years,[2][3] and was buried in Battle Creek, Michigan.[4]
