Biography

Horace was born in 1836, the son of Enos Lundy and Margaret Bostwick.

He was married to Catherine Harris in 1860 by Kennedy Creighton, a minister of the Wesleyan Methodist Church. Their marriage record reads as follows:

Horace D. Lundy, 24, residing in Whitchurch, born in Canada, son of Enos and Margaret Lundy, married Catherine A. Harris, 21, residing in King, born in Canada, daughter of Thomas and Ann Harris; witness John Harris, of King, on April 25, 1860.

Together they had the following children:

1. Margaret Maggie Ann, born January 17, 1861, baptized November 10, 1861, married John Duncan Clark in 1887
2. Etty
3. Charles R. Harris, son of Horace Lundy and Catherine Harris, born May 12, 1870. There is a Charles buried with Horace and Catherine whose birth and death years appear to be 1870 on the headstone, although it is difficult to read. There was also a Charles Richard Lundy who died at the age of 4 mos, 12 days in September 1870 - could this be the same son of Horace and Catherine? If so, then who is the four month old Chas. H. Lundy enumerated with them in the 1871 Census?
4. Nellie, born March 4, 1878

Horace D. Lundy died on November 12, 1915, at the age of 80. His death record indicates he was a box maker, married, and the son of Enos Lundy and Margaret Bostwick. He was buried at Aurora Cemetery.
