Robert Lundin or Lundie.[1][2] was the second son of John Lundin of Lundin,[1] and Elizabeth Lindsey. His parents married sometime after 21 January 1434/5.[3]

Marriage
Robert married Helen Sibbald, d. & h. of Andrew Sibbald of Balgonie. By this marriage, Balgonie Castle and its lands passed from the Sibbalds, who held the property from abt. 1246, to the Lundie family.[4]

Events
In 1496 Robert and his brother Sir John, are mentioned in a charter by their aunt Janet Lindsay (nee Ramsay), wife of David Lindsay, 2nd Lord Lindsay of the Byres. Janet also mentions their father John Lundie of that Ilk, as well as their uncle Andrew Lundie of Pitlochy, who were her half-brothers.[7]
