Biography

Audrey Anne Lunn, daughter of James Lunn and Eleanor (Hurley) Lunn, was born 07 May 1929 in Galveston, Galveston County, Texas, USA.[1][2] She died 31 Aug 2013 in Carson City, Carson City, Nevada, USA at age 84, and was cremated after her death.[3] Her remains are in the possession of her daughter, D. Songer.[4][5]

According to her son, Audrey was a WAAC or a WAVE (he cannot remember which it was). Her daughter corroborates this saying that she had some sort of military affiliation and that was where she met her husband. According to her daughter she and her intended had to petition the Merchant Marines and the U.S. military to allow the marriage.[6]Best-3719

Audrey married Russ Best, 20 Nov 1949 in Galveston County, Texas, USA.[7] The marriage ended in divorce 17 Feb 1978.[8][9][10] They had:

  • By the time of the birth of the couple's daughter in 1960, the family had moved to Ventura, California.[18][19][20]
  • Briefly, in 1962 the family was living in Ojai, California.[21][22]
  • By 1977 the family can be found in San Diego, California.[23][24][25][26]
