Thomas LUSK stayed on in Union County, South Carolina after his father (Robert LUSK) and mother (Mary VANCE Lusk) went to Kentucky with their oldest son Maj. Shortly thereafter the following deed transfers took place: Deed transfer, 9 July 1805, 18 March 1806: John LUSK (Thomas LUSK's brother) and Martha (Davidson) to Joshua Sesson for $200.00, 100 acres which is part of 35 4 acres granted to Robert LUSK (Thomas' father) bearing date 24 October 1786. Witnesses: Robert LUSK (Thomas' son), William Norwood (Union County Deed Book H, page 434). Deed transfer, (date not readable): John LUSK to John Jeffries, 200 acres for $9 00.00 - where LUSK used to live on Thicketty Creek adjoining David SMITH's (was this the husband of Barsheba Harrington Smith ?), to dividing line between Thomas LUSK and John LUSK, to Abraham SMITH. Witnesses: William Caldwell, William Cotter (Union County Book I, page 224). Both Thomas LUSK and his brother, John LUSK, purchased land in Warren County, Tennessee by 1812 but neither family moved to Tennessee until late 1817 or early 1818. Both were in Lincoln C ounty, Tennessee by 1820. Thomas LUSK died there on 3 January 1826. DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Thomas by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA. However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Thomas:

with Bersheba m 1812, his first wife - if not divorced - must have died by then. Her profile shows her death as about 1835, but her profile has no sources. Could you take a look?

Susannah (Davidson) Lusk (abt.1760-abt.1835)

Thanks!

update - merge completed

Lusk-1668 and Lusk-147 appear to represent the same person because: I just proposed a merge for duplicate profiles of his father. These duplicate profiles need to be merged also. Thanks!

update - detached Rachel (Petty) Harrington as wife

No mention of wife Rachel, and the dates don't work - Rachel Petty married Drury Harrington in 1774 (according to her profile)... Drury's 1839 will (filed in Alabama) does not mention a wife, so it's assumed that she died before him. Drury's DAR record shows that his son married Sarah Lusk (shown here as Thomas's daughter).

If no objection, I'll detach Rachel (Petty-194) as Thomas's wife.
