Biography

This profile is part of the Luther Name Study.

Florence Orella Luther was born on July 18, 1871, in Rock Falls, Illinois.[1] In 1880, she was living in Towanda, Pennsylvania with her parents and two sisters.[2] Florence married Martin "Martie" Morgan on July 19, 1887, the day after her sixteenth birthday.[3] [4] In 1900, Florence and Martie were living in Burlington, PA with their two children, Oscar and Mary, and two boarders.[5] From April 1907 to February 1908, Florence kept a diary which you can view here. By 1910, the Morgans had added two children to the family, Harold and Elsie.[6] Florence died on May 4, 1918, at the age of 46.
